IMAGE sat down with lead singer Joe Sanzeri before the band headed to Germany again. ; WHAT’S IT LIKE PLAYING IN GERMANY? We play in small theaters, bars, and clubs. There’s no drinking age and the audience ranges from 12 to 40. It’s really cool. ; HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM PLAYING IN CHICAGO? It’s pretty out there. You have to practically set yourself on fire to get a reaction in Chicago since there’s stimulus coming from every angle. It’s not a special event anymore because people expect to be entertained. ; WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO PLAY IN THE CITY? Northland Cafe because the guys who run it don’t care about making money and only book bands they want to hear. ... |
